Top Life Sciences events with COPA-DATA

COPA-DATA experts will take part in several major ISPE events until end of the year, focusing on innovative automation in the life science sector. These events will provide opportunities to learn more about advanced technologies and highlight best practices for the pharmaceutical industry.

The first event is the 2024 ISPE Annual Meeting & Expo, taking place from October 13-16, in Orlando (Florida). Next, the GAMP Forum 2024, scheduled for October 22-23, will concentrate on technological innovations aimed at meeting regulatory and market demands. From November 26-28, there is the CPHI & PMEC India with focus on connecting the global pharma community in India. Further, the ISPE Pharma 4.0™ and Annex 1 Conference, will take place on December 10-11. This conference will gather top pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturers, technology providers, and scientists to discuss the future of Pharma 4.0™, with a focus on digital transformation and automation.

GAMP Forum 2024 – October 22-23 in Rome

A key highlight of COPA-DATA's contribution at the GAMP Forum will be showcasing how Merck KGaA successfully modularized its laboratories with the support of zenon. In general, the forum will provide a broad overview of AI algorithms and their practical applications, alongside a case study from an Italian pharmaceutical company. Another notable feature will be the presentation on the practical implementation of modular automation in a process development laboratory, utilizing the MTP (Module Type Package) standard.

ISPE Pharma 4.0™ and Annex 1 Conference – December 10-11 in Rome

The ISPE Pharma 4.0™ and Annex 1 Conference will delve into the future of pharmaceutical manufacturing with a strong emphasis on modular automation. Giuseppe Menin, Director Life Sciences & Process Industry at COPA-DATA, together with Michelangelo Canzoneri, Global Head of Group Smart Manufacturing at Merck KGaA, will give a presentation on the topic “Speeding up and Simplifying Modular Equipment Connectivity”. They will provide an overview of the project timeline, covering the journey from the pilot phase to the full automation of 600 modules using the MTP standard. Additionally, they will showcase a video demonstrating the steps a laboratory engineer takes to reconfigure an experimental setup, from integrating 'MTP-ready' modules to process orchestration, control application generation, and execution.

In 2025, COPA-DATA expert Giuseppe Menin will join the stage together with Rod Hoffman from Astra Zeneca at the 2025 ISPE Facilities of the Future Conference on January 27-28 in San Francisco, USA.

All events promise to be a platform for learning, networking, and showcasing COPA-DATA’s commitment to advancing automation in the life sciences.
